September 26th Smithtown 350 Parade
November 19th Holiday Party
It’s a wrap!!!! We ended our Fiscal Year on June 25th, with a ‘Birthday Bash.” We celebrated US, our wonderful members, and SBPWN’s 33rd birthday!!!! From a skit, CINDER ELDER, written by Rosemarie Kluepfel and performed by Rosemarie, Nancy Klimpel and my hubby Bob Martin, to ‘pin the lips on the hunk’, Who Am I ?, crazy birthday hats and Dress the Rep we had a night filled with laughs, comradery, and just plain silliness. This is why I love this group so much. We are all serious minded business women who aren’t afraid to let our hair down and build relationships by being ourselves !
As the year comes to an end, I want to thank our members for being so supportive. We had several meetings where the weather was not cooperating, snowy and bitter cold yet 20 + came out to attend the meetings. Thank you to our Board : Betsy Maniotis, Maria Reitano, Elyse Krieger, Barbara Quitoni, Debbi Spiegel (computers ) and our newest member, Teri Mangione who have been wonderful all year coming up with ideas for speakers, celebrations and events to keep the meetings fun and informative.
I would also like to thank Nancy Klimpel and Teri Mangione for organizing our year end party. We told them to take the reins and run with it and that is exactly what they did. They even thought of a luscious birthday cake ! I was moved that we all grabbed the hand of the person next to us, showing solidarity to sing Happy Birthday to US and celebrate the friendships we made this year.
Please watch for information for our September 24th meeting. We are in the planning stage of a ‘paint and sip’ night in place of our usual meeting. Debbi will get the information posted as soon as the logistics are completed. I ask that you PLEASE PRE REGISTER for that meeting. We will need to have an exact count of attendees so that everyone will have the material to paint.
Have a very healthy and safe Summer and as the song goes……’ See you in September.’
