Presidents Message May 2009

 

Where do I begin. Spring – not a better time of the year to enjoy our lives! Professionally speaking the last ten months of this year has been quite the roller coaster. I have found myself working harder in this economy to stay my course and it is working.

 

This time of renewal in nature needs to be a daily reminder to all of us that each day we have an opportunity to grow. Be it financially or physically. One of the most difficult components of being a women in business is that we tend to be more sensitive under stress. When we work harder and longer of course stress can take over and we perhaps will eat, become short tempered or require much more sleep that may not nourish us. Take a lesson from your garden this Spring. It requires a certain amount of care to give you the fullness and beauty you desire. Pruning, fertilizing and grooming brings great reward. Are you treating yourself that way?

 

Our June Gala is right around the corner. Join us for our May meeting and get all the exciting details, unless of course you are on the invitation list, then you may know before then. Remember to RSVP as seating is limited. Please join us as we celebrate our woman of example.

 

It is important that everyday, with every task you must accomplish, you “show up”. You are the person you want to be and can be for those who want to do business with you as well as for your family and friends. As we all run this race, take a look around once and a while, appreciate your own particular talents and gifts, nurture them so they are strong and viable in your life.
